How often do I legally need extinguisher / emergency lighting inspections?
NFPA 10 requires a yearly inspection for fire extinguishers, performed by trained personnel, with a service tag showing the date of annual maintenance. Emergency lighting isn't required to be tested annually by NFPA 101, but it must pass function tests during regular AHJ fire safety inspections: monthly for at least 30 seconds, and annually for 90 minutes, with written records kept on file. That's why most people hire it out.
Do you offer emergency/same-day service?
Not same-day, but we'll schedule your service as soon as possible.
What happens if my extinguisher fails inspection?
We'll notify you or your facility right away and recommend the next steps to get it passing. Technicians aren't permitted to tag a failed extinguisher as compliant.
Will I get documentation I can share with my insurance company?
Yes, every visit includes a digital inspection report, following NFPA 10 and 101 codes, that's ready to share directly with your insurer.
Do you install new equipment or only inspect?
Both. We install and inspect fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, from wall-mounted units to vehicle extinguishers.
Do you service schools, hospitals, or nursing homes?
Not currently. These facilities typically have large equipment inventories and are usually already under contract with larger providers, so we focus on giving small businesses and residential customers fast, personal service instead.

NFPA 10
The NFPA standard that provides requirements for the selection, installation, inspection, maintenance, recharging, and testing of portable fire extinguishers.
NFPA 101
Also known as the Life Safety Code, this standard establishes requirements for building safety and life safety to help protect occupants from fire, smoke, and related hazards.
AHJ
Stands for Authority Having Jurisdiction. This refers to the organization, office, or individual responsible for enforcing applicable fire and safety codes and approving equipment or installations.
